He actually didn't give much background info behind it,so it's still a mystery to me.
He thought he would be dropping the hammer to tell me more as it might influence the outcome. I used to think mundane eveyday situations might make a picture too ordinary till I took a hammer to the toe.It was,much to my surprise, smashingly fun.It took a bit of bruising,but I think it came out pretty okay!
...please don't kill me for the puns.I don't want to wake up hammered with rebukes about my crushing humor.

Oh, and you're fired from using hammer puns until the end of the year.
There's a reason why carpenters wear steel-toed boots. But if he was, he wouldn't be making that face. And that face... Wow. THAT is how you make a Pain Face! You got the ear, the scrunching of the nose, and even the fangs bared. Also, I've noticed how you made the fur, especially in the tail, seem to really "spike up"which adds to that. However, I think the right ear should be pointed back just a bit. Usually when they're pointed down, it indicates that the creature is sad. Granted, doing that could end up hiding the other ear. Hmm...
One thing actually about the lifted leg. You got the buttocks done well (...very well...) but I was concerned about the knee... At first. But after giving it some thought, and really looking at it, I find it's correct. Mostly for balance purposes. Again: kudos.
